Just a few days ago we told you Lenovo was expected to hold a press event today, during which we are expected to see the next-gen Yoga tablets be presented.

As specified in an email we received from Lenovo, superstar product engineer Ashton Kutcher will be hosting the event and talk about the latest-generation Yoga tablet which he helped design.

Lenovo Yoga event scheduled for today

On Facebook Lenovo has posted a teaser image saying that they “have something to show” us. You can tune in to watch the event dubbed “The BIG Reveal” too, which kick starts at 8PM BST / 3PM EDT following this link.

In the image we can see Kutcher holding what looks like the Windows version of the Yoga tablet. The rumor mill has been talking about the new Yoga tablets for some time now, but in recent times we saw a few pictures giving us a glimpse on what to expect.

Right from the get-go, we noticed that the new Yogas substitute the silver finish utilized with the Android family for sleek black one.

Word on the street seems to indicate that the Windows-capable Yoga 2 family will be offered in 8-, 10- and 13-inch models.

The first-generation Yogas were available only in 8-inch and 10-inch variations, but it appears Lenovo now thinks like Samsung believing there aren't enough big-screened tablets on the market today.

The specifications of the tablets remain a mystery, but we can speculate the smaller models might take advantage Intel Bay Trail chips, while the larger 13-inch one could in theory work in concert with the Intel Core M platform.

Second-gen Android Yoga tablets are coming out too

Apart from the all-new Windows Yoga bunch, Lenovo is also expected to revamp the Android ecosystem and put out at least two new tablets from the category.

The 8-inch and 13.3-inch models already leaked, showing us they will arrive with Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.

The smaller model should be available with 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution and a quad-core Intel Bay Trail Z3745 processor fitted with 2GB of RAM. On the other hand, the Pro 13-incher will be able to offer up to 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution.

The tablet is said to draw life from a quad-core Intel Bay Trail Z3745 processor (no indication of Broadwell being included in the mix) fitted with 2GB of RAM.

Bear in mind that these are just predictions at this point, so we might be wrong about lots of them. However, we’ll be able to see what’s what in a few hours when the Lenovo event goes live from London. Don’t forget to watch!
