R&B singer Lemar topped this year's Music of Black Origin (MOBO) awards, receiving two prizes, for the Best Album and Act of the Year at London's Royal Albert Hall.
Lemar's album, "Time To Grow", nominated for Best Album, Best R&B Act, Best Single, Best Video and UK Act of the Year, beat off Mariah Carey and U.S. neo-soul singer John Legend.
Other winners at the ceremony organized at the Royal Albert Hall included 50 Cent, who triumphed in the hip-hop category, Sway who won the Best Hip Hop Act, Bob Marley's son Damian, who was named the Best Reggae Act and John Legend who won the Best R&B gong.
