Vivendi Games Mobile has announced an online contest for mobile phone subscribers in Europe, on the occasion of a soon release for the "Leisure Suit Larry: Love for Sail" game on mobile phones. The winner will receive a Wii system.

Everyone has had at least one disastrous date at a certain time. For many people, it's a memory they try to put away and forget. Vivendi says that it's now time to bring it back to life, wrap it in an amusing form and gain something over it. The "worst date ever" will receive a Wii system as a reward and even consolation.

"Terrible dates are something that everyone experiences but few ever really talk about, so this is a chance to celebrate Larryness and engage in some collective laughter therapy courtesy of Nintendo and MySpace", observes Paul Maglione, president of Vivendi Games Mobile. For this reason, "This unique contest will give Leisure Suit Larry fans the chance to share their most Larryesque dating experiences with a worldwide audience, and enjoy the consolation of receiving the hottest gaming console of the moment".

The game is based on the story of Larry, a 38-year-old geek that goes through a middle-age crisis and starts acting like a playboy. In "Love for Sail", Larry cruises aboard a ship for the trip of a lifetime, facing a large number of amusing situations. Graphics are highly enjoyable, similar to cartoon movies, while the storyline is highly entertaining due to the humorous events.

The mobile game "Leisure Suit Larry: Love for Sail" is actually an expansion of a PC version. Still, it manages to bring the same amount of entertainment, now the mobile way. The contest is meant to support the game's launch in this new environment. Larry's experiences are now available on wireless networks throughout Australia, New Zealand and across Europe, where it has already received high appreciation. "Leisure Suit Larry: Love for Sail" will soon be launching on carriers in North America as well.
