Sierra Entertainment has announced that everybody's favorite loser, Leisure Suit Larry, is coming back with a new pants-busting adventure that will (thank God!) have nothing in common with the latest installment, Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude. The game will be available this fall for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles, as well as PC systems and mobile phones.

The Leisure Suit Larry Box Office Bust video game is being developed by Team 17 and it's already crystal clear that it will be rated "M" for Mature. Even though Al Lowe, the beloved LSL scriptwriter, is not working on this title, as some rumors in the past suggested, this new iteration will be, however, a third person adventure game, unlike the latest game which was a total fluke.

The story follows Larry after taking a summer job on his uncle's movie lot doing odd jobs and trying to uncover a mole from another studio who threatens to air the studio's dirty laundry in the tabloids. The game still "innovates" (oh, no!), featuring an open world sand box game play that includes exploration, platforming, racing and puzzle-solving to complete missions. Additionally, the game will feature a Directors Game that allows the player to create their very own "Larry Feature." A naked patch already in the works, then?

"Leisure Suit Larry is an entertaining adventure that places gamers in the middle of Hollywood's tabloid-filled mayhem to create a fun gaming experience," said Al Simone, senior vice president of Global Marketing for Sierra Entertainment. "The collaborative efforts of Allen Covert and cast make this the most amusing and immersive Leisure Suit Larry video game yet."

And yes, here are some examples of the great voices: Josh Keaton as Larry Loveage, Shannon Elizabeth, Carmen Electra, Artie Lange, Jane Lynch and others. For those who still hope that a good Leisure Suit Larry can still be made, a trailer will be released on the 15th of February this year.
