Posh German photography gear brand Leica, isn't a stranger to launching limited edition cameras. Actually, the company appears to be rolling them out more frequently than ever. So if you were not a fan of last week’s Hello Kitty / Playboy mélange, we have another one for you.

The new Leica MP Olive and X2 Olive limited edition cameras were introduced in Japan to celebrate the anniversary of the opening of the Kyoto Leica Store. Interested photography enthusiasts will be able to pick one of these babies up starting April 1.

The Leica MP Olive comes with a stylish leather strap and Summilux-M f1.4/35mm lens. When I said limited edition, I wasn't kidding around, as the company is going to produce just 100 items of the camera. However, pricing will probably come as a shock, so it makes sense the company isn't mass producing them.

The Leica MP Olive will set you back with a massive $16,500 / €11,884, making this a camera destined for photography elitists only. The second model, the Leica X2 Olive, appears to be more earthly.

The camera will be made available in 50 samples and will be marketed for around $2,800 / €2,016.

The Leica X2 Olive comes with a single focus lens of 36mm and with a CMOS APS-C size sensor equivalent to the “Leica XS”, while the strap accessory boasts a rich cognac color.
