A Lego The Hobbit video game will appear in 2014, at least according to an image that leaked online, showing the game's cover and mentions about it coming to PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, or 3DS.

Lego games have tackled all sorts of huge franchises, from Lord of the Rings or Star Wars to the Marvel universe, with the latest Lego Marvel Super Heroes.

Now, it seems that the team at Traveller's Tales is getting ready to debut a special adaptation of The Hobbit movies, in the form of the aptly titled Lego The Hobbit.

As you can see in the leaked image above, via AGB, the game will feature of course the three main characters – Gandalf, Bilbo, and Thorin – and will recreate their journeys through Middle-Earth, just like in the current movie series.

The image also shows a list of future platforms, in the form of the PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, or 3DS, and it seems that some online features will also be present.

As of yet, no other details are known.
