Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures is a highly anticipated title by fans worldwide and it is already promising to become a real hit, with its host of great features and the support of the most iconic adventurer in the movie world: Indiana Jones. Having in mind that the release date set for the 6th of June 2008 is getting close, as well as the fact that Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PlayStation 2, PSP, PC, Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS owners are waiting for some news about the game, publisher LucasArts and developers Traveller's Tales have decided to bring us a detailed factsheet.

With a unique tongue-in-cheek take on the original adventures, Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures follows the character's escapades through the jungles of South America to the mountaintops of India and players will be able to do everything (and a bit more) they saw in the successful Hollywood series.

We will use Dr. Jones' signature whip as a multi-functional tool in order to attack, disarm, swing across gaps, activate levers and generally interact with the world of LEGO objects and puzzles. Also, for the first time for the Lego characters, they will be able to swim, climb up things and carry objects, just like in real life (and not just for the fun of it, but for the purpose of your adventure). And if this is not enough for you, nor is Indy's whip, you will be able to use a variety of items from the environment as weapons (like chairs, guns, swords, bottles etc).

Regarding the characters, you should know that Indiana Jones is not the only one you can play with, since the game comes with more than 60 characters, all from the movie series (including Marion Ravenwood, Short Round, Rene Belloq, Willie Scott, Marcus Brody, Jones Senior and Mola Ram). Also, all of them have character-specific abilities (like excavation by Satipo, umbrella slide by Marcus Brodry or monkey access by Marion Ravenwood). The good thing is that you'll really have to use these special abilities in the game, too, which makes it an even more interesting.

Even though Lego Indiana Jones allows you to explore the globe and solve different puzzles, if you ever start feeling lonely and would like a human parter to join the quest, you will be able to call your parents or friends for some rounds of co-op multiplayer. And if all these are not enough for you, it means that you don't like Indiana Jones at all, so there's no need to bother.
