After quite a few rumors and speculation, Lego Dimensions has leaked online, while retailer Toys'R'Us confirms it and details how it's going to rival other toys-to-life titles like Skylanders or Disney Infinity.

Besides delivering some fantastic toys over the decades, the Lego corporation has also worked quite well with developer Traveller's Tales and publisher Warner Bros. to make the Lego video games. So far, they have dealt with all sorts of franchises, from Lord of the Rings to Harry Potter, and many more.

Lego Dimensions is almost official

Now, after quite a lot of speculation, the toys-to-life project in the Lego series has leaked online, via Reddit, in the form of Lego Dimensions.

The new game rivals other similar titles that have flooded the market in recent years, in the form of Skylanders from Activision and Disney Infinity from, of course, Disney.

However, the Lego Dimensions experience is going to employ all the different iconic characters and franchises that have already been portrayed in regular Lego video games. From series like Lord of the Rings to characters like Batman, Gandalf, Wonder Woman, and others, the game is looking set to blend together universes.

Actual details about its Starter Pack are also available

Besides these leaked details, US retailer Toys'R'Us also confirms what's included in the Lego Dimensions Starter Pack for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Nintendo Wii U.

Apparently, in addition to the actual game, a Lego toy pad is included, which should provide an interface with the console, as well as a Lego Gateway building bricks set, three Lego minifigures in the form of Batman, Gandalf, and Wyldstyle, not to mention a Lego Batmobile vehicle.

As of yet, neither Warner Bros. nor Traveller's Tales has confirmed anything about Lego Dimensions, but you can expect the official announcement later today or at least this week. Until then, check out a photo of the Lego Dimensions Starter Pack above.

It's unclear whether the game is going to debut this fall or in 2016, as no details relating to its release are known just yet.

Update: Lego Dimensions is official and arrives on September 27, in North America, and September 29, in Europe. Check out the announcement video below.
