Lego Batman Unlockables and Hints II (DS)

Lego Batman: The Videogame brings an original storyline which puts together both the controllable dynamic duo (Batman and Robin) and Gotham City's most notorious criminals (The Joker, The Penguin, Catwoman, Scarecrow, Killer Croc, The Riddler, Mr. Freeze, Harley Quinn, Two Face, Bane, Clayface and Poison Ivy) - all of them have recently escaped from the Arkham Asylum and are ready to wreak havoc in the city. 

According to Warner Bros., the publisher of the game, gamers will be able to bring justice to the city by playing as each of the game's heroes or create ultimate chaos by controlling any of the aforementioned villains. Players will be able to fight on land, sea and air and unlock along the way all sorts of helpful things, such as Batman's Demolition ability or the Magnetic and Dive suits.

The Nintendo DS version of this game saw a lot of changes due to the unique features of this small handheld console. Gamers will be able to control special abilities of the playable characters, like Batman's Grappling Hook, smoke bombs or various switches via the touchscreen with the stylus. Also, some of the playable characters in the game saw changes in their battle moves or jump ones, as Batman can double jump in the DS version but cannot on any other edition of the game for various consoles. 

Even though up to eight characters can be in the player's party, only two are visible at the screen at any time. The Nintendo DS version also features three more characters not available in the console versions, and includes an exclusive unlockable minigame "Villain Hunt" which is used to unlock these extra characters. Also, suit switcher pads have been implemented in the game's levels, which allow players to gain other types of power and can use them until the end of the said level.

UNLOCKABLES

Play as Azrael

Successfully complete the game (all three chapters). You can now purchase Azrael for 1.5 million studs at the Batcave. 

Play as Huntress

Successfully complete the game (all three chapters). You can now purchase Huntress for 200,000 studs at the Batcave. 

Villain Hunt mini-game

Successfully complete all three Villain chapters at Arkham Asylum. 

HINTS

Faster ending sequence

Press A while the studs are being totaled during the ending sequence to skip the animation. You will still get credited for the studs you earned and will get through the process faster.
