It's not a big secret that Robin Williams, the actor who tragically committed suicide this week, was a big fan of the computer game “Legend of Zelda.” In fact, the actor had enjoyed the game so much that he even took to naming his own daughter Zelda. Now that is devotion.

In the light of his recent passing and the fact that he contributed so much to the game's promotion, fans are now gathering their voices in the form of a petition, to ask maker Nintendo to introduce a character in the next installment of the action-adventure series that is similar to Williams.

The petition's creator on change.org wrote in his request that “He won't get to play it, but he'll live on forever in a universe he always loved.”

The Robin Williams game petition currently has over 80,000 signatures of support, indicating that there are indeed many who think the actor is worthy of such an honor, especially since he participated in several commercials to promote different Zelda games.

Legend of Zelda fans weren't the only ones requesting a Robin Williams-inspired character in a computer game. Earlier this week, fans also demanded that the late actor be included in another massively popular online game, World of Warcraft.
