The creator of the original Counter-Strike mod for Half-Life 1, Minh "Gooseman" Le, has confirmed that Valve currently has in development Left 4 Dead 3 and Half-Life 3.

Valve is one of the biggest independent studios in the world, owning plenty of great franchises like Half-Life, Left 4 Dead, Portal, and more, while maintaining the Steam digital distribution service.

While right now the studio is busy maintaining two of its most popular newer games, in the form of Dota 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, this doesn't mean that it's forgotten about its older franchises, as it's been rumored for a very long time that it's working on a new game engine, in the form of Source 2, as well as on projects for it like Half-Life 3 or Left 4 Dead 3.

Now, while talking in a new Twitch video, the creator of the Counter-Strike mod for Half-Life 1 many years ago, Minh Le, has effectively confirmed that both new titles are in the development process at Valve.

About Half-Life 3 in particular, he apparently believed that it was already public and revealed that he had seen concept artwork.

"I think it's kind of public knowledge, that people know that it is being worked on. And so if I were to say that yeah, I've seen some images, like some concept art of it, that wouldn't be big news to be honest," he said, via NeoGAF.

"But yeah, I mean like I guess I could say that I did see something that looked kind of like in the Half-Life universe. And I mean it wouldn't surprise anyone if I said they're doing it, they're working on it, yeah. So to go on a limb I'd say I did see some concept art for Half-Life 3."

While talking about Left 4 Dead 3, Le expressed his interest in the new project and revealed that it looks great.

"You know, the one thing I'm really excited about is Left 4 Dead, the new Left 4 Dead. I saw it, it looks great. I was really excited when I saw that, I was like 'wow, this looks great.' Because I really enjoyed Left 4 Dead, it was just one of those games that really just changed the industry. I think at the time there wasn't many good co-op games, so yeah, this is a great co-op game."

Bear in mind that Le didn't mention any other details or when he had a glimpse of the new games, so who knows what Valve has in development right now, besides updates for CS:GO, Dota 2, and maybe Team Fortress 2.
