Left 4 Dead 2 has been released by Valve, along with Portal, on Steam for Linux for some time now, but the developers continue to update it on a regular basis.

Most of the Left 4 Dead 2 updates so far have been released for balancing purposes, but the current one also comes with some changes for the interface.

Valve fixed the loading screen that was showing the placeholder text when playing mutations, repaired a bug that always allowed Special Infected to spawn when a mutation was active, corrected an out-of-range volume setting for one of Nick's lines, and fixed a few other smaller bugs.

The EMS Scripting has been updated as well and support has been implemented for mode-specific population scripts.

More details about this release can be found in the official announcement. Also, you can check out our review of Left 4 Dead 2.
