Nootka, an open-source application that can be used to learn and teach classical score notation, is now at version 0.8.5.

Nootka is mostly used by guitarists, but it can also be used for ear training. It has numerous features to personalize the user's needs and capabilities, natural sounds of classical guitar, accurate pitch detection method, and many others.

Highlights of Nootka 0.8.5:

• A detailed description of an application is now displayed in the first run wizard;
• A crash which occurred after the right click on the exam help window, has been fixed;
• The application now works better with abnormal DPI settings;
• Recognizing answers on wrong strings is now working;
• A few smaller bugs were fixed;
• The proper note pitch is now used in exams with a single key.
