Research and Markets has added John Wiley and Sons Ltd's new book "Beginning iOS Game Development" to their portfolio. The book is said to enable noobs to build games for the iPhone or iPad.
The book is written by experienced developer and author Patrick Alessi, who presents the iOS system architecture and who gives a step-by-step description of game development. It also introduces the languages used to develop games, according to Research and Markets.
It also details how iOS games require different considerations than other applications.
“From the basic building blocks to including drawing, responding to user interaction, animation, and sound, this book provides a one-stop-shop for getting your game up and running,” says the market research firm.
Those interested aren’t required to have any previous experience with building a game for the iOS platform. However, they will have to learn how to work with the Xcode programming environment, how to draw with the Quartz 2D API; learn techniques for incorporating animation with Core Animation and sound with Core Audio, and even how to handle user input.
Here’s the breakdown by chapter: PART I: THE TOOLS TO GET STARTED
