Now, one won't need to stay in front of a computer or in a classroom, Spb Flash Cards eliminates all these disadvantages for those that are too busy to attend a special foreign-language course. Using this application, users will be able to learn any of the 14 languages included: English, German, Spanish, Italian, French, Russian, Portuguese, Chinese (Simplified), Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Swedish, Hebrew, and Czech. Even though Spb Flash Cards contains only the most commonly used words for each language, that will be enough to help them in their travels.
The installation of Spb Flash Cards can be done over-the-air or by downloading the .cab file on your PC and transferring it through the ActiveSync application directly on your device's storage card. You will notice that the application uses by default the language of your phone, so if you want to change it simply go to Options / Your Language. The application comes with over a thousand flash cards that are nicely arranged into categories.
According to the category you choose, you will be presented with a related picture and its localized word written, and you can tap to flip the card. The word will then be shown in the target language with a playable audio clip of the word seen being spoken by a native. You will be able to track the progress by watching the progress bar over each category image on the main screen. When all the words in a category will be learned, the category will be closed. However, you can open it again by clearing the statistics from the MENU. You can also restore any deleted card using the MENU undelete option. The trial version of SPB Flash Cards includes all of the features available in the registered version. The trial version expires within 15 days after installation.
