An expert in satellite navigation, Garmin International Inc. has announced today the release of a new GTN 750 trainer app for the iPad 2.

Garmin’s trainer is not cheap. It goes for 25 bucks on iTunes, but it can do something that no other GPS app does - simulate the behavior of the GTN 750 system interface and provide a safe, on-the-ground environment.

Aimed at pilots, Garmin GTN Trainer not only lets you learn the basic operation of the avionics, but it also allows you to experience the enhanced situational awareness offered by simulated traffic targets and GDL 69 XM weather data.

Complete with Pilot’s Guides and Cockpit Reference Guides, Garmin GTN Trainer is compatible with iPad 2 Wi-Fi and iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G and requires iOS 3.2 or later.
