Apple is almost certain to refresh its popular, all-in-one desktop computer, the iMac, numerous sources report. A flyer sent out to resellers and educational sales representatives says they are now authorized to give special (lower) pricing on the current iMac configurations. Additional, leaked Apple marketing materials describe new iMac models as being equipped with "High-performance NVIDIA graphics."

Not surprisingly, MacRumors is the source of the leaks. "Over the past week, there have been an increasing number hints that the long-awaited iMac revisions are indeed imminent," reads a post on the rumorous site. "Resellers have had low stocks of iMacs and educational Apple sales reps have been authorized to give special pricing on the current iMacs."

Besides the flyer sent to Apple educational sales reps (pictured above), the site was also handed this image, which apparently claims that new iMacs are on their way boasting "High-performance NVIDIA graphics." The news isn't by far surprising or unexpected, but it's a good piece of confirmation regarding Apple's future plans. iMac revisions really seem imminent at this point – the rumor is consistent with expectations that the new iMacs will be based on the NVIDIA motherboards, just like the entire line of unibody MacBooks.

Just over a month ago, Apple secretly beefed up its low end notebook, the 13-inch polycarbonate (White) MacBook, with a 2.0 GHz Core 2 Duo (1066MHz frontside bus) processor, double the original memory and NVIDIA's 9400M platform, keeping the ports intact, as well as the price: $999! This is possibly the best (additional) confirmation that new iMacs are getting NVIDIA chipsets. To put it in the simplest terms - if that old thing deserves NVIDIA's GeForce 9400M, the iMac can't possibly miss out on the new hardware, with Snow Leopard on the way and all.
