Apple’s 2013 iPad revision will mark more than a Retina display for the mini and a new chassis for the full-size fifth-generation model, if this new leak from Sonny Dickson is to be believed.

The well-connected Australian teenager, who has made it his mission to leak everything Apple has in store for us this year, offers some new details regarding the new iPad models reportedly coming out this fall.

Sonny has posted a new photo gallery showing the aluminum cases of the iPad 5 and iPad mini 2, as well as a series of tweets with a treasure trove of tech specs.

According to Sonny’s tweets, iPad mini 2 is getting the same color set as the iPhone 5s – Gold, Silver, and Space Gray.

He doesn’t mention any changes in the display (though pretty much everyone expects it to be Retina-grade), but he does note that the diminutive tablet computer will pack an “A7 chip with 64-bit architecture [and] M7 motion coprocessor.”

“And yes Touch ID is coming to the iPad Mini 2,” he writes in a subsequent tweet, showing a picture off China’s weibo.com, which may or may not be accurate.

The Aussie admits these details come from one of his newer sources, and says he can’t be 100% sure if the specifications are accurate, though we certainly hope they are.

As far as the RAM is concerned, Sonny says the iPad mini 2 will boast 1GB of memory, whereas the iPad 5 will be getting 2GB of memory.

If that turns out to be the case, expect some impressive video games to hit Apple’s next-generation tablet computers (especially now that iOS 7 enables full controller support).

As usual, we thank Sonny for these tidbits, and we’re keeping our fingers crossed for all these specs to turn out true.
