A Shenzhen (China) - based online seller of electronics and replacement parts has obtained a “Microphone Mic Flex Cable Ribbon Replacement for iPad 3.”

It’s no surprise that such leaks are becoming more abundant with the iPad 3 launch drawing closer. Analysts estimate the third-generation tablet will be on shelves in February.

Back to the Chinese leak, the new part is quite different from the one used in current-generation tablets.

Mike explains over at Cydia Blog that, “The new part, when compared with iPad 2, shows a different arrangement in internal circuitry, hinting a major re-design. The tail end of the part makes a 'U-turn', whereas the iPad 2′s Microphone Mic Flex Cable makes almost 90-degree turn both ways.”

TVC Mall’s website sells the part for $6.48.
