14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft is not only hard at work on the next versions of the Windows client and server operating systems, namely Windows 7 and Windows 7 Server/Windows Server 2008 R2, but also on the next iteration of its Cloud platform. And although the Redmond giant has failed to breathe a single (official) word on the first Beta release of Windows Live Wave 3, the fact of the matter is that all the suite applications have been leaked and are available for download along with the installer for the full collection.
Windows Live Wave 3 is designed as the evolution of Wave 2 delivered at the end of 2007. In this context, Window Live Wave 3 spans not only across the suite's applications but also across its services. However, the leaked components (courtesy of LiveSide) include the next generation components of Windows Live Mail Beta, Windows Live Toolbar Beta, Windows Live Movie Maker Beta, Windows Live Family Safety Beta, Windows Live Messenger Beta, Windows Live Writer Beta and Windows Live Photo Gallery Beta.
The first notable modification across all the Windows Live Wave 3 clients is an overhauled graphical user interface, with common style elements for all products. But at the same time Microsoft has introduced a range of enhancements throughout the suite of applications to mark the evolution to Wave 3 stage.
In this regard, the Redmond giant has made Windows Live Calendar a part of the new Windows Live Mail Beta. Windows Live Photo Gallery Beta delivers new features and even face recognition capabilities. The embed capabilities of Windows Live Writer Beta have been tweaked, along with the introduction of support for additional weblogs services. Windows Live Movie Maker Beta is set up to replace the default Movie Maker component in Windows. Perhaps the most consistent evolution is delivered with Windows Live Messenger 9.0 (2009) Beta, which offers new features such as Shared Folders, new Favorites, Groups, etc.
