Windows 8.1 Update 1 RTM Escrow is now available for download via unofficial channels and, although only minor changes seem to be included in the package, there’s at least one important modification that’s really worth a look at.

Microsoft has renamed SkyDrive, its cloud-based storage service, to OneDrive in this new version, which could be another indication that this particular build could be very similar to the one we are supposed to receive in April via Windows Update.

Microsoft has recently announced that it will rename SkyDrive to OneDrive to settle a trademark dispute over the name of its cloud service, so this move is not at all surprising in Windows 8.1 Update 1.

As for the leak itself, it comes in the form of an MSU file that takes care of installation all by itself and asks for a clean version of Windows 8.1 running on your computer.
