Windows 10 build 10031 is very likely to be the next official release that would be provided to Windows insiders, and even though Microsoft still wants to remain tight-lipped on any kind of details regarding this version, there are plenty of screenshots out there revealing some of the new features that could be included.

Today, Russian Windows leaker WZor has provided us with another huge batch of photos showing build 10031 and revealing a few changes that Microsoft could make to this particular version.

In addition to Start menu and Start screen transparency, which we already talked about earlier this week, when the first Windows 10 build 10031 screenshots leaked, this build also appears to come with a new login screen that would make the operating system look more modern and fresh.

Interestingly, this particular login screen was part of previous builds but wasn’t enabled by default, so users had to turn to a little registry trick to turn it on.

Several other small changes

We already know that Spartan is going to be part of this new build, but in the screenshots we’ve gotten today, Internet Explorer is still up and running, so Microsoft isn’t yet ready to make the full switch to the new browser.

At the same time, there are also several new options, including some that concern the Task view feature which allows users to work on multiple desktops to organize their apps better.

Another small tweak that Microsoft made in build 10031 is the introduction of a smaller Start button, which now has the exact same dimensions as the other icons on the taskbar.

Right now, nobody can tell for sure when exactly Microsoft plans to release the new build, but the next week is very likely to bring it to us, as the company is also working to make a new version for phones available later this month.

The PC build, however, was initially expected to debut in late February, but Microsoft apparently needs more time to implement new features and to correct some of the bugs reported by insiders in previous releases.
