According to the rumor mill, Nokia is expected to release a new Windows RT tablet on the market as soon as this month.

This week, in his extensive Fall 2013 Windows Tablet Preview, Paul Thurrott of WinSuperSite.com has posted a picture which apparently showcases the future device.

From what can be seen in the image, the design of the upcoming slate is quite impressive. It appears to be super sleek and colored in a bright red tone, a bold choice considering the traditional tablet colors.

The device has been dubbed Sirius for the time being and brings to the table a full HD screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 4G connectivity, a microSD card slot. It also sports a micro HDMI connector for streaming media content to a monitor or a TV screen and a microUSB port.

Sirius will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm 8974 ARM processor.

Nokia is aiming to add 10 hours of battery life to the device. There’s also the possibility that the slate could be used in combination with a detachable keyboard which would add an extra battery.

According to the post, the tablet will be priced at $499 / € 375.75.
