Also known as the Sophia and Maria

Although Sony Ericsson has recently released a considerable number of new mobile phones, there are still a couple of phones that are apparently waiting to be unveiled.

One of them, codenamed Sophia, is supposed to be the phone that Sony Ericsson will be introducing as a rival for Nokia's N95. The Sophia is supposed to come packed with a 5 megapixel camera and a whole bunch of advanced features.

Add some of that nice design we all know Sony Ericsson is capable of and the Sophia can't be anything but a hit. Or can it? Some leaked photos of the phone, also known as the K850i have surfaced some time ago and revealed a handset very similar as design to the K800i.

Now more photos of the K850i have leaked on a Chinese forum and it might be no surprise for some that the phone in this photo looks nothing like the previous one. One reason why this might actually be the Sophia is that it includes some very funny looking keys, which seems to be something recently released Sony Ericsson phones all have in common. The K850i will come with a 5 megapixel camera with xenon flash (this is obvious from the writing on the back of the phone). Other features remain unknown for now.

Photos of another highly anticipated phone, the Maria, which is supposed to be an upgraded version of the M600 have also leaked. The Maria will bring what Sony Ericsson fans probably wanted all along, the same features of the M600 and - as a bonus - the long awaited 3.2 megapixel camera.

It is also said to come with a more metallic body, WCDMA support and improved Symbian UI. As with most Sony Ericsson phones, leaked information and photos generally have some truth in them, and it shouldn't be long now until Sony Ericsson makes an announcement.
