The handset will be controlled with the help of a touchscreen that changes the overall layout to match the current menu feature displayed

After this year's April rumor about a Benq-Siemens codename "Ruby" mobile phone project, they are at it again. Pictures of a mobile phone concept, the so-called "Black Box" project, are spread through the world wide web with the speed of lightning (actually with the speed of the electric current, light or radio waves that carry all the information across the internet).

If these pictures aren't a fake, this former winner of the iF-Design award keeps its position as one of the most innovative companies in technological design in the world at the moment.

From the leaked photos, one could guess that Benq hasn't kept any kind of separation between the announcement and operation part of a device interface. These two characteristics seem to melt in each other, because of the way the handset is controlled: through a touchscreen that changes the overall layout to match the current menu feature displayed.

This kind of ergonomic control brought to its extremes is just mind-blowing for the majority of us, but it's nothing more than normal for the Benq designers, that have shown their outstanding design skills on the other mobile phones they have worked on.

Considering the rumors that say the former concept cell phone branded "Ruby" is still being in the works, I just hope the "Black Box" will be launched sometime in the future, and I also think this device would be a serious proof of master design from Benq's part and a true "head-shot" for the other cell phone manufacturers.

Meanwhile, me, myself and I are still trying to convince "ourselves" that they saw what they just saw, and want to deliver all Benq competitors on the mobile market this message: keep your eyes open and watch over your shoulders... Mobile phones like you never even imagined are going your way!
