After last week's teaser picture hinting at a new “serious” telephoto zoom lens announcement from Japanese lens manufacturer Tamron, this week we stumbled upon a leaked picture of the actual lens.

Canon Rumors has posted a photo, which confirms that the upcoming Tamron lens is indeed the 150-500mm f/5-6.3 VC USD. It will come as a replacement for Tamron's AF 200-500mm f/5.0-6.3 Di LD SP FEC (IF) lens and it's rumored to feature a new and more efficient image stabilization technology.

Moreover, from the leaked photo, we can see that the new lens will incorporate Tamron's Ultrasonic Silent Drive technology. It also seems that a new optical formula will be introduced to improve its overall optical performance.

The new Tamron 150-500mm f/5-6.3 VC USD lens will be officially unveiled by the Nippon manufacturer on Thursday, November 7.

Keep in touch to find out more information about this new lens before the official announcement comes out.
