Sony Ericsson K660i is getting more official as time passes, now that the producer also granted it a special web page on its site. Unfortunately, the page is still empty, but should be soon filled with relevant information.

The mobile phone sprang out of nowhere, with only a few concepts coming from fans to announce its future release. Sony Ericsson made no official unveiling, although one is expected to come in the near future. The device looks pretty special, although it will not make top of its Cyber-shot line of handsets.

The Quad-band GSM mobile phone comes in some pretty compact sizes of 104 x 47 x 14.7 mm and 95 grams of weight. That makes it quite comfortable to use and it fits the standards set by many other average handsets that are not capable of standing out through measures. The 262k color display supports a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels, although it looks pretty small from the leaked pictures.

The greatest feature about this Sony Ericsson K660i handset is the fact that it comes packed with 3G connectivity. This should make it capable of HSDPA fast data transfer speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps. The real advantage about this will be easy to notice if the user wants to transfer its photos and videos on a website or download others.

Although Sony Ericsson K660i is a Cyber-shot mobile phone, its 2 megapixel camera is something under previous expectations. Many other average handsets are capable of this performance, although the capture quality should be greater than in the case of other similar devices.

The phone also allows xHTML web browsing and also includes 32 MB of user memory, ready to be increased through a Memory Stick Micro (M2) card slot. Other specifications also include GPRS and EDGE connectivity, which might prove useful when other technology fails to work.

The producer did not mention anything about the date for the release of their Sony Ericsson K660i mobile phone.
