Amazon is gearing up for the launch of their own application store targeting devices running under Google's Android operating system, and some more info on the pricing of the apps in this portal started to emerge.
The company already announced plans to move ahead with the launch of the storefront, and even unveils some of the apps that would be made available for download there.
However, specific info on the launch of the app portal did not emerge until now, or on the price tag that apps included there might feature.
But that seems to have changed as the guys over at AndroidNews.de came up with a series of screenshots that unveil how the store's pages are going to look like.
Among the details that were unveiled via these shots, we can count info on the prices of some applications, which seem to be similar with those available in the Android Market.
However, this does not mean that there won't be applications that would be much cheaper than in the already established app portal, mainly aimed at luring users towards the new storefront.
At the moment, when pointing the browser to the http://www.amazon.com/appstore, nothing happens, but it should not be too long before the software storefront is up and running.
Amazon already said that it would be the exclusive distributor of Angry Birds Rio for Android, and of the paid versions of Angry Birds and Angry Birds Season, all of which are expected to arrive shortly.
Previously, Amazon unveiled that Android users purchasing apps from its store would be able to install them on any devices they choose to, as the software is automatically tied to the user's account.
Moreover, the company announced plans to put in place a robust Digital Rights Management (DRM) solution, so as to ensure security of apps available through the store. Apps would run only on authorized devices, Amazon said.
