Samsung has announced the E848 phone model as part of the Beijing Olympics phone lineup. The device has to offer several evolved features and also a slim, athletic design in tone with the Olympic theme.

Mobile phone producers and especially Samsung have seen the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing as an excellent opportunity for releasing some new products and hope for them to be highly successful. Communication is one thing that people will surely need when traveling in China for the sportive event.

What Samsung E848 has to bring over other similar devices is the extra slim size. The handset is only 10.6 mm thin, one extremely small size, when it comes to slider phones. The thin size can be easily seen from images of the device, although producers have not put such a great accent on the exact figure.

The handset has a 2.2 inch 260k screen capable of displaying images at a fairly high quality. Images and videos too will look excellent on it, although it's not incredibly large. The highly reflective capability of this somewhat resembles that of the LG Shine phone, although without the full metal body and all the glamor that comes with it.

Samsung E848 also comes packed with a music player, as this is a media phone, above anything else. Still, its main advantage is that of the smooth, slim design. Samsung has become a real expert in this type of devices over the years, managing to bring some of the thinnest and most stylish phone models on the market.

Samsung E848 will be released in time to match the 2008 Beijing Olympics, on an exclusive Chinese market. It will not come alone, as it will also be joined by some other models, all having some special features to offer to the owner.
