Some new specifications on the BlackBerry Pearl 2 have surfaced, giving a clear view on the real look that the device will have once it hits the market. Still no official information concerning the date when the smartphone will hit the market, although some rumors already have a clear view on that.

BlackBerry 8120 is a CDMA improved version of the first Pearl smartphone coming from this producer. What makes the model so appreciated is the fact that it brings some of the most evolved performances in a slender design, which has to give up the old-fashioned QWERTY keypad for one similar to that found in the Sony Ericsson M600 handset.

BlackBerry Pearl 2 is quite slim and compact, which makes the most important feature of this device. It manages to pack a 2 megapixel camera, as most evolved smartphones do in order to provide this feature too, although not at the highest levels. The device will have 4.3 OS installed and EVDO Internet access.

A microSD card slot is one feature that couldn't have missed in the case of any respectable evolved phone and BlackBerry Pearl 2 packs this too in order to provide enough data storage space for its user. When it comes to hardware, this device will be identical to the previous one that has already hit Verizon Wireless stores.

The phone also packs GPS performances, as many devices try to squeeze into their cases nowadays, even when slimmer than the BlackBerry Pearl 2. Other than that, the device will also have a WiFi browser and a 3.5 mm headset jack.

There are only rumors related to the exact date when BlackBerry Pearl 2 will arrive at Sprint, stating that this should happen sometime by Thanksgiving Day. The price that it will come at has not been specified yet.
