14 DAY TRIAL // The focus of most Halo fans at the moment is on the beta stage for the next title in the series, Guardians, which has recently wrapped up and has offered a solid look at the changes that are being made to the multiplayer side of the series.
But now the community has something new to speculate on, as a new image, leaked by an unknown source, is showing what seems to be the filming process for a commercial for the coming experience.
The image offered on Twitter by AllGamesBeta seems to show both Agent Locke, who was introduced in Halo: Nightfall, and the familiar figure of Master Chief as they meet for the first time, and a member of the crew is clearly visible in the right side of the picture.
No details are linked to the image, but the fact that a commercial for Halo 5: Guardians was filmed recently might surely mean that Microsoft is planning to make a big reveal about the title in the coming weeks, perhaps as early as GDC.
The actor playing Agent Locke has already said that this character will play a big role in the single-player mode of the title and that he will help Master Chief when he seems unable to achieve anything on his own, something that the leaked image also suggests.
It will be interesting to see whether the source of the leak will deliver any more pictures in the coming days, something that the fan community will appreciate.
Halo 5: Guardians will power the fall schedule of the Xbox One
The new title from 343 Industries and Microsoft needs to deliver a solid gaming experience to wash away the relatively bitter memories created by the problems that The Master Chief Collection had on launch.
The developers have already said that feedback from fans is important and they have announced that they will allow all gamers who run custom games in Halo 5: Guardians to disable the newly introduced abilities for Spartans.
They are also working on improving weapon balance, the way the CSR and the matchmaking works and more.
No details have yet been offered on the single-player story and how Master Chief and Agent Locke will interact.
