A leaked document apparently coming from SEGA of America has shown up on various Internet websites and seems to point at an intended collaboration between SEGA and Sony, while also detailing some interesting plans to bring PlayStation 2 video games and Dreamcast titles to the download section of the PlayStation Network. The two companies have neither confirmed nor denied the details of the leaked document up to this moment.

The document mentions a meeting between SEGA representatives and Robert Dyer, who is the senior vice president of publisher relations at Sony Computer Entertainment of America. He seems to have agreed on a longer term collaboration with SEGA. The main subject of interest is the possibility of PS2 and Dreamcast titles being offered on the PlayStation 3 through the PSN.

The document details that, “If we provide a list of DC titles, SCEA will let us know which ones they’re interested in having exclusively... If we give them a long period of exclusivity they’ll give us more marketing support.” There is also en entry on the Yakuza franchise that also reads that Sony “could put Japanese games directly on PSN for download in a special Japanese Import section (pricing $9.99 to $39.99 for full game).”

There are also mentions made of creating a PlayStation Home space for SEGA properties like Iron Man, Phantasy Star Universe or Alien vs. Predator. The Olympics franchise that SEGA has is also mentioned, with the document saying that the opportunity exists to create a Home space, but also to put together motion-controlled titles, using Sony's new wand controller, in time for the London Games of 2012.

Another interesting mention is that of Sonic, the most iconic franchise held by SEGA. The quick-running character might make an appearance in a “Best of” collection, which could come on the Blu-ray drive for the PS3, offering all the titles in which it appeared.
