A new leaked BlackBerry 10.2 build is now available for download for the owners of Z10, Z30, Q10, and Q5 smartphones out there, namely OS 10.2.1.641.

The new software version is compatible with most of these device models, as owners of the Z10 STL100-1 are still left out of it.

Although an unofficial release, the leaked build comes with a nice range of enhancements over the previously spotted OS flavor, though it also packs a variety of known issues, it seems.

According to N4BB, the leaked OS 10.2.1.641 brings along an improved battery life courtesy of an updated touch profile, as well as newer sensor libraries.

Furthermore, the leaked release includes updated translations, gyroscope support in camera, and an unlocked Android Runtime.

There are also enhancements to PIM services and libraries, enabled code analyzers and debug scripts, and fixes for advanced Wi-Fi. At the same time, the Audio routing in music player works, and there is a fix for the BBM dark themes.

BlackBerry OS 10.2.1.641 is also said to include enabled FM Radio and to allow for contacts to be copied to different backends.

The lock screen settings now can be found in their own category, and there are also new animations when checking and commenting on BBM group pictures.

The leaked build sports app monitor improvements as well, along with working DocsToGo. Following the update, users will see that pictures received in emails are now in-line.

As mentioned above, the leaked BlackBerry OS 10.2.1.641 still includes a series of issues that affect users’ experience, such as one that affects the camera, which won’t take pictures without flash.

Users interested in taking the leaked OS for a spin will find it available online, as this thread in the CrackBerry forums notes. However, they should keep in mind that this is not an official release, and that installing it could harm their devices.
