14 DAY TRIAL // Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion is reportedly getting ready to deliver to shelves a sequel to one of its most successful latest devices, the BlackBerry Bold 9700. The new handset, called BlackBerry Bold R020, has just made an online appearance in a series of leaked documents, showing an almost identical external appearance as the Bold 9700.
There are no specific details available on what this device would be called, but a recent article on BGR shows some of its internal specifications, along with some other info on it.
According to the leaked shots, the new phone should include the same rich feature set that one would expect from a BlackBerry Bold device, while sporting a compact design and being able to offer enhanced performance levels.
The specifications list of this handset includes a 624 MHz processor, complemented by 512MB of flash memory and 512MB of RAM, along with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.
The Bold R020 should arrive on shelves with a 5-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus and LED flash and a 2.4-inch display that boasts a 480 x 360 pixel resolution, while being delivered in charcoal and white color versions (the former flavor to come both with and without the camera).
Along with support for 3G connectivity options, the upcoming BlackBerry mobile phone should boast Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity options, along with micro USB port and 3.5mm headset jack.
BlackBerry Bold R020 is expected to pack inside a 1500mAh battery, to come with a QWERTY keyboard complemented by a trackpad and dedicated keys for camera or volume.
Running under RIM's new BlackBerry 6 operating system, the smartphone should land on the market later during the ongoing year, it seems, though specific details on this lack at the moment.
