Files from the recently started Battlefield 4 alpha test stage have been leaked online, and some keen fans have managed to uncover references to three new multiplayer modes called Elimination, Obliteration, and Playground.

Battlefield 4 is out this October on current platforms and later this year on next-gen consoles.

Until then, developer DICE is currently organizing a multiplayer alpha stage and will hold a public beta in the future.

Some new details have just surfaced on the web, thanks to a list of references found within some leaked files and posted on Pastebin, via PixelEnemy.

The references aren't that clear, but there, in the list of supported modes, there are classics like Conquest or Team Deathmatch, but also new entries called Elimination, Obliteration, and Playground.

There's no word on just what these modes might be or how they play, so expect to hear more in the future straight from DICE.
