I'm sure Olympus will get around to formally launching its newest camera at some point in the future, but for now, we'll have to settle for the leaks from Mobile01 and 43Rumors.

It turns out that the new photo and video capture device, called PEN E-P5, is the latest and greatest classically shaped Micro Four Thirds camera.

It has a 16-megapixel image sensor, 5-axis stabilization, a 1/8000 shutter speed (sounds massive really), 5fps burst shooting support, and, of course, Wi-Fi connectivity.

I imagine that Olympus has also tossed in a bunch of image editing options and scene modes, allowing pictures to be customized both before and after their capture.

Shipments will begin on May 11 in China, but there is no price in sight, unfortunately. I assume more info will emerge over the next week.
