The chips will only be released in 2013, so don't look forward to them yet

Intel is developing a more advanced generation of Atom central processing units, but now we know just what their name is and how good their graphics are.

There are several places on the net that will reveal information on the “Valley View” Atom SoC.

Just so you won't have to dig through them yourself, we'll write here the most relevant bits.

Apparently, Intel's 2013-bound line of Atom system-on-chip devices will include this 22nm-based part.

The details aren't all perfectly clear, but it's obvious enough that the Atom will have up to four cores and graphics like the ones used in the Ivy Bridge CPUs (not that they're all that great themselves).

A system built around the chip is implied to have up to 8 GB of RAM, USB 3.0 support and up to four times better graphics prowess than existing Atoms.

2013 is still a bit far off, but we're pretty sure more leaks will show up before then.
