New parts surface in photos, possibly revealing new details on iPhone 5S

The next iPhone may or may not be called iPhone 5S, and there is a chance Apple will introduce two separate models this year, one of which said to be cheaper. Now some alleged new parts have been leaked in photos.

From Japan with love comes the image displayed to the left and the two extras at the bottom of the article.

The first image shows a dual-head vibrator and a flex cable that appears to house not two, but three push buttons.

iPhones currently have four buttons that require pushing and one control – the mute switch – that requires toggling up and down / left and right (depending on how you look at it).

Going by the images leaked by iLab Factory, it appears that Apple wants to turn the mute switch into a push button, which means there might be a total of 5 push buttons on the next Apple iPhone (and perhaps new functionality as well).

Other images leaked by the Japanese source include the Home button and the front-facing camera, both of which seem to exhibit minor changes as well.

For instance, the camera module is attached to a flex cable that doesn’t seem to contain a microphone, whereas existing models (currently in circulation) do.

The dual-vibrator design is also a departure from what is currently being sold by Apple. The purpose of the change isn’t known, but we can all agree that two motors will probably do a better job than one.

Apple’s next iPhone is expected to launch this summer at the company’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference.

Analysts maintain that the Cupertino giant has prepared not one, but two separate iPhone models for this year’s event.

This second iPhone model is said to be cheaper, though Apple has so far given no indication that such plans are on the table for 2013.
