14 DAY TRIAL // Riot Games confirms that League of Legends players have just one more day left to indulge in the special Legend of the Poro King game mode, which celebrates the Snowdown event in the actual multiplayer experience.
League of Legends is one of the most popular multiplayer online battle arena titles out there, with tens of millions of players from all over the world indulging in the action-packed experience.
Legend of the Poro King is still available until January 6
For the beginning of winter and the end of the year, developer Riot Games organized a special game mode called Legend of the Poro King, in which players can embark on brand new 5-versus-5 matches in which the goals are drastically different than in the regular experience.
The mode kicked off back on December 16, and tomorrow, on January 6, it's set to expire, so Riot is reminding fans on the official website to jump back into League of Legends and try to get all the different rewards that are up for grabs in Legend of the Poro King.
Plenty of goals must be met to unlock rewards
In case you aren't up to speed with the game mode, Legend of the Poro King sees players be accompanied by two small poro creatures into battle. Each of them grants a special Summoner spell and is instrumental in summoning the aforementioned Poro King. The royal minion is quite powerful and provides healing for your team, mana regeneration, while dealing area-of-effect damage and lumbering across the battlefield.
Players can cast special spells like Poro Toss to sling the smaller creatures across the abyss on the Howling Abyss map. You can then cast the spell again so that your own character dashes towards the Poro. After completing ten tosses, you can summon the king and proceed to fight against the enemies.
Quite a few goodies are up for grabs, in the form of special icons for certain abilities and items. As always, Riot is bringing back some of its old champion skins, so that you can grab those that have eluded you during past celebrations.
You might want to hurry up though, as Legend of the Poro King concludes on January 6, at 2am PST.
