Gnar, The Missing Link, is the yordle version of the prehistoric ice man

Riot Games has unveiled a brand-new champion headed to the Fields of Justice, the tiny but not so lovable Gnar, a yordle from a time long lost.

Gnar, The Missing Link, was born millennia ago, but through a twist of fate, he was trapped in ice and frozen until now. The prehistoric yordle has just broken free of his ice confines, wandering Runeterra in search of his yordle descendants, who adopted the beastly creature.

Gnar's Passive, Rage Gene, allows him to build up rage while in combat, and once he fills his bar, his next used ability will transform him into Mega Gnar, bestowing him with bonus armor, magic resist, health and attack damage, at the expense of attack range and attack and movement speed.

If Mini Gnar doesn't use an ability, he will transform into Mega Gnar anyway, after a couple of seconds. While in Mega Gnar form, his rage will slowly burn down, and once exhausted, return the little critter to his Mini Gnar form, in an exhausted state that will prevent him from gaining rage for a certain duration.

His Q in Mini Gnar form is a Boomeran Throw, a directional skill shot that can hit enemies two times if positioned right, and if Gnar manages to catch the projectile when it returns, he will reduce the skill's cooldown significantly. In Mega Gnar form, he will launch a massive boulder in a target's direction, slowing down the first target in its path and all nearby enemies.

Gnar's W is a passive ability that allows him to deal a percent of his target's max health as magic damage in Mini form. However, whenever Hyper triggers or Mega Gnar turns back into Mini Gnar, he will gain a movement speed boost that decays over time. While in Mega Gnar form, the ability will allow him to pound the ground in front of him, damaging and stunning any enemies foolish enough to get in his way.

His E ability enables Mini Gnar to jump in a target's direction and gain a moderate attack speed boost. Should he land on a unit, Gnar bounces again in the same direction, damaging and slowing any hit enemies. While in Mega Gnar form, the ability will allow Gnar to launch himself in a target direction, damaging and slowing enemies he lands on.

His Ultimate ability makes Gnar throw a tantrum, throwing all enemies around him in a target direction. All enemies affected are slowed and damaged, and enemies thrown into walls take extra damage and are stunned, including turrets and base structures.

Gnar has been designed to work best in the Summoner's Rift's top lane, and is a transform champion with clear strengths and weaknesses in both forms, most effective when used as a tank or brawler.
