League of Legends developer Riot Games has just introduced an email verification system in order to improve its security, sending messages whenever account credentials are modified.

League of Legends is one of the most popular free-to-play games out there and this popularity has resulted in plenty of attacks against the game and its players.

In order to further improve the security of its systems, Riot Games has introduced a new email verification system that will send messages to the addresses provided by users whenever changes are made to their LoL accounts.

In order to get players to try out the new and more secure system, Riot has confirmed on its website that anyone who registers their email account will receive a 4-win IP boost.

As such, you have nothing to lose if you try out Riot's new email verification system.
