Leadtek Unveils Portable Hybrid TV Tuner: the WinFast DTV200 HU

Leadtek has unveiled its newest multimedia product, a portable hybrid TV box in the WinFast family. The new TV tuner is an external device that can easily fit into a palm-size form-factor, with USB2.0 plug-n-play

computer connectivity.

The WinFast DTV200 HU TV tuner can receive both analog and digital TV broadcasts, as well as FM radio stations. The DTV200 HU can receive high definition terrestrial DVB-T and worldwide analog TV signals that comply with the NTSC, SECAM and PAL standards. Packed with Leadtek's new de-interlacing technology, the tuner offers high-quality, crystal-clear video with zero flickering or artifacts. The TV tuner also supports HDTV and Dolby Digital AC3 audio streams for life-like, realistic cinematic effects, even when connected to a laptop.

Leadtek's new TV tuner allows the user to synchronously record and playback high-quality TV broadcasts in VCD, SVCD and DVD formats, which removes the hassle of using additional compressing software in order to spare disk space. The patented WinFast PVR2 technology unleashes additional functionality, such as DirectBurn, Time Shifting, TwinView, Live Broadcasting, EPG (Electronic Program Guide) and Scheduled Recording, which are arranged in an elegant, two-layer menu.

If you are planning to do something else while your favorite TV show is being broadcast, there is no problem, as the WinFast DTV200 HU portable TV tuner allows you to record the TV show while you are away, thanks to the integrated EPG with Scheduled Recording. The EPG will fetch program information for you at the cost of a single mouse click, then schedule it for recording.

The TV tuner ships with a special remote control that fully supports Windows Media Center capabilities. Inside the package, you will also find the FM antennae and the 4-in-1 AV cable, along with the TV tuner unit.
