14 DAY TRIAL // Last night on X Factor USA, crowd favorite and Britney Spears protégée Carly Rose Sonenclar, who also happens to be the youngest contestant on the show (she’s just 13), sang with LeAnn Rimes for Divas Duet night.
Their performance of “How Do I Live” is above.
First things first: Carly totally killed, as she did every night she performed on the show. LeAnn has an amazing voice. This could have been the greatest thing ever to happen on X Factor.
But it wasn’t.
Voices online, including fans of LeAnn’s, say that her performance was so “off” that the only logical explanation was that she was under the influence.
Not only did she appear to forget the lyrics at least on two, very obvious occasions, but she also made painful efforts to out-sing Carly, as if the duet was all about her and not about, you know, the actual X Factor contestant.
Honestly, I say that something was clearly wrong, but I don’t know if I’d go as far as to say that LeAnn was drunk. She did try to out-sing Carly, though, and that was a very nasty thing to do.
