Country singer LeAnn Rimes is going after her dentist in the court of law. The star has just filed papers against her dentist, arguing he ruined her mouth, health and even harmed her career, it has emerged.

It’s no secret that LeAnn has had veneers put in some time ago.

Neither is it a secret that she’s been experiencing pain from dental work, as any fan keeping up to speed with her on her Twitter feed must already know.

Now, TMZ has learned that she’s suing the man who’s been putting her through all this pain because it was all in vain.

“In the lawsuit obtained by TMZ Rimes claims she went to Dr. Duane C. McKay for various dental work over 3 years. Some of the work included upper front veneers and crowns that the dentist promised would address her TMJ-related pain as well as improve her appearance,” the celebrity publication reports.

Neither happened. Instead, she found herself in more pain, requiring more work and even bleeding money because she was no longer able to perform because, you guessed it, of the pain.

“Rimes claims rather than helping, the dentist messed her mouth up bad, causing tremendous pain and bleeding. Rimes says she's had to undergo 9 root canals and bone grafting. She's also had a temporary bridge and needed physical therapy as well,” TMZ writes.

“Rimes says in the suit she will have a ‘permanent cosmetic deficiency’,” adds the same media outlet.

As if all this wasn’t bad enough, being in constant pain and having a messed up mouth is also impeding her from performing, so she believes the dentist must pay.

Rimes is seeking unspecified damages “for physical, emotional and psychiatric injuries,” but also payment for loss of profits, future and past.

Knowing her, she will probably include an update or a short statement on her Twitter soon enough, so keep an eye on this space for when that happens.
