The gloves are officially off: after years of feuding on Twitter or more subtly in the press, Brandi Glanville, Eddie Cibrian’s ex-wife, is going for the jugular of his current spouse LeAnn Rimes. The only problem is that she’s lying, he says in a statement.
As we also
informed you just hours ago, Brandi gave a very lengthy interview in which she claimed Rimes was taking laxatives nonstop, had a serious eating disorder and was too “unstable” to be around her two boys with Eddie.
She also detailed one incident in which her son ate one of LeAnn’s pills and was taken ill, and stressed that she should get help before something really bad happened to the kids while in her care.
In response, Eddie said that LeAnn did not have any kind of problem but rather Brandi did, because she chose to forego the traditional means of communications for talking to the press, just so she could extend her 15 minutes in the spotlight.
He’s back with more.
First, his rep issued a second statement to
E! Online, in which he makes a point out of illustrating how Brandi is actually the one who has a very serious problem, not LeAnn.
There is no such thing as an eating disorder or pill problem that’s troubling the singer, the publicist says. Brandi should stop spreading lies.
“Brandi keeps grasping at straws to make LeAnn seem like an unfit person. Brandi’s story changes daily, one day it’s an eating disorder, one day it’s Twitter, one day the boys aren’t safe, etc.,” the rep says.
“She says she hasn’t seen or spoken to LeAnn in months but yet knows everything that is going on. None of Brandi’s allegations are true. People need to see it for what it is — PUBLICITY! It’s time for Brandi to move on. LeAnn has!” he adds.
At the same time, Eddie has released an
email he sent to Brandi to confirm that, despite what she’s saying, they do keep in contact. In it, he’s pleading with her to think of the kids and to stop trashing LeAnn just for the heck of it, inventing all sorts of absurdities just to get attention.
“One day when wine and narcissism are not consuming you, you will realize how fortunate the kids are to have LeAnn in their life. She is amazing with them, as the kids will 100 percent attest to. You should be so lucky to one day find someone who will love and respect Mason and Jake as she does,” he wrote.
“Although, I really don’t know how anyone can put up with your constant bull[expletive]. No wonder you have lost so many ‘close’ friends. Grow up already and for once, PUT THE KIDS FIRST!” Eddie added.
