On Monday, Diana Baron, LeAnn's publicist, announced that the famous 23-year-old country singer won't be able to attend the concerts scheduled this week because she is to undergo surgery on an infected leg.
Apparently, a tear in the tissue will prevent her from performing Tuesday night in Hampton Beach, N.H., and Friday and Saturday in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.
The publicist said that, quote 'it's a minor surgery but because of the infection it was urgent that she take care of it right away' and that the artist will resume her tour 'This Woman' after three or four days of recuperation.
Rimes is best known for her 'Coyote Ugly' track, 'Can't Fight the Moonlight', and 'How Do I Live'. In 1996, she won a Grammy award for the categories 'Best New Artist' and 'Best Female Country Vocal Performance', with the single 'Blue'.
