LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian’s new reality show, aptly called LeAnn & Eddie, premiered on VH1 this week, with the full episode arriving online one day earlier. The premiere was met with plenty of ridicule in the blogosphere, and by the way these two squirmed their way through a Wendy Williams interview, it seems that some of that has also reached their ears.

Check out the full interview in the video below. It was taped the day after the premiere and, for some reason, LeAnn seemed completely out of her comfort zone.

As Wendy’s fans must know, she is not the kind to avoid asking hard questions when she’s sitting on the couch with a more controversial guest, but this time, Eddie’s dimples seems to have gotten to her, because she went soft.

She did, however, say that the way Eddie and LeAnn’s affair was “seedy” and asked them if they ever thought about the saying “once a cheater, always a cheater.” For those who haven’t kept up with the latest in celebrity gossip, when these two met, they were both married to other people.

For the rest of the chat, though, Wendy was very nice to her two guests, even praising the reality show more than she should have, according to many voices online.

That still failed to make LeAnn feel more at ease: in the video, you see her clap her hands at awkward moments, to fill in pauses in the conversation, she squirms, she laughs nervously and, when she does talk, she does it mostly with her hands.

Eddie too seems uncomfortable, but with him, it’s clear he knew what questions to expect and how to answer them.

Speaking of questions, Wendy deserves credit for telling Eddie (in less a direct manner) that he should just step in and make his current wife stop feuding with his ex-wife, Brandi Glanville. Like he was supposed to, Eddie came to LeAnn’s rescue.

“Well my wife doesn’t engage. I mean if you want to look back, really dig down and be a journalist, look at the timelines and you will see that there is a big discrepancy and there really is no going back and forth, my wife sometimes… I mean you eventually you have to say something, enough is enough, but the truth is she has always taken the high road,” he says, as she pats him lovingly on the leg.

Because LeAnn seemed so out of her comfort zone in the interview, there’s some talk online that she was probably fearing the worst from the interview. Either way, she and Eddie come across as fake in their responses and reactions, which brings up the question: if they’re like this in a standard TV interview, how “real” are they on the reality show? Do you plan on watching it?
