LeAnn Rimes is looking to silence her critics through her new reality series, which she describes in a new interview as more than a reality show and more than a docu-series: the term script-ality would apply best, she believes.

The country singer, who has been getting a lot of flak in the media in recent years for hooking up with current husband Eddie Cibrian while they were both married to other people, confirmed the TV project in May this year.

Back then, she said that it would be scripted and that it would be halfway between a sitcom and a typical reality show.

Speaking with MTV News the other day, LeAnn offered a bit more details about the project, saying this time that it was less of a sitcom and more of a traditional docu-series. A video of the interview is embedded below.

“I call it script-ality. We’re having a lot of fun. We really are,” she says, explaining how the project has been “a nice addition” to her family.

As for the purpose such a TV show would serve, LeAnn points out that – obviously – it will set the record straight on all the nasty rumors that have been making the rounds about her and Eddie, and especially about her and Eddie’s ex, Brandi Glanville.

“To me, there’s so much [stuff] out there about Eddie and myself, it gave us an opportunity to work together again and to be at home with the kids and have fun and take all this [stuff] that everyone always says about us and make fun of it. There’s a lot of comedy, there’s a lot of heart. We definitely approach some heavier topics, but we always laugh at everything. That’s just who we are, anyway, so for that to come across in the show is super important,” LeAnn explains.

She says that, unlike with other docu-series, she, Eddie, and Eddie’s two boys with Brandi aren’t followed by camera crews at all times, so she gets to choose what they want to be shown on TV. If we didn’t know better, we’d say this might be a jab at Brandi, who also has a reality show and isn’t afraid or ashamed to let viewers into the most private details of her life.
