The smartphone packs a dual-core processor, 5MP camera

One of the latest budget 5-inch smartphones launched in India is the Lava Iris N501, which arrives on the market with Google’s Android 4.0 platform, priced at Rs. 9,999 ($182 / €137).

The new mobile phone was made official with a 1GHz dual-core processor inside, as well as with a screen resolution of only 480 × 800 pixels.

Furthermore, it lands on shelves with dual-SIM capabilities, as well as with a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, and with a front camera for making video calls.

Lava packed the new Iris N501 with 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, microSD card slot (32GB) and 3G connectivity.

As Fonearena notes, the new device comes with a series of pre-loaded apps, including Hike Messaging App, Saavn Music, and Fusion Music Organizer, as well as with games like Asphalt HD, Cricket Fever, Saving Private Sheep, Shark Dash and Little Big City.
