Indian company Lava has recently introduced one of the cheapest tablets on the market, the E-Tab Velo+. The slate is now available for purchase via major retail stores in India for only Rs 4,699 outright, which is about $75 or €55.

However, those who think this is an excellent deal should know that the tablet doesn’t have too much to offer in terms of hardware.

As AndroidOS points out, Lava’s tablet ships with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, but it packs a 1GHz single-core processor and 512MB of RAM.

There’s also 4GB of storage that can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card, as well as a VGA front-facing camera.

E-Tab Velo+ sports a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 800 x 480 pixels resolution and comes with Wi-Fi support. 3G connectivity is only available via external dongle.
